Port Of Entry
The painting “Port of Entry” was painted for Pat and Bradley Hoferkamp of Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The boat is an antique wooden boat a 1955, 22’ Continental Christ Craft.
The painting depicts its first day back onto the water after being restored. After being restored see the lower right image at Katz’s Marina on Lake Hopatcong the “Port of Entry” was ready for the big day back onto the lake. The first day out was at the 37th Annual Lake Hopatcong Antique Boat Show where the “Port of Entry” won four awards that day Ladies Choice, Men’s Choice, First in Class and, Best in Class. The lower left image is of the “Port of Entry” pulling up to the dock at the show for the first time after being restored.
The “Port of Entry” is very special to the Hoferkamp’s since the boat has been in the family for many years originally belonging to Brad’s uncle in Virginia where Brad would water ski as a boy off the back of the “Port of Entry”. The top image is the finished painting.
